(AGI) – Rome, April 5 – The publishing company Gruppo Corriere Srl, which publishes the Corriere newspaper, including editions for Corriere dell’Umbria, Corriere di Viterbo, Corriere di Rieti, Corriere di Siena, Corriere di Arezzo, and Corriere della Maremma, has been sold by Edi. B. S.p.A., controlled by Cementerie Barbetti, to Finanziaria Tosinvest.
“With this acquisition,” the statement reads, “Finanziaria Tosinvest S.p.A. will strengthen its presence in the publishing sector, with particular attention to local information, where Corriere dell’Umbria—having increased its readership by approximately 20% in the 2011-2012 period (Audipress 2012/III data)—represents a point of excellence and has been the undisputed leader in the region for thirty years. The other newspapers serve as primary references for information in their respective territories.”
